Morning Light on the River

This new work is titled “Heron Flight”. It is painted largely from memory. I enjoy obsessing over a specific subject matter, in this case river scenes, to the point that I can imagine any variation on the theme to match my artistic goal. In this case, I wanted morning light to generate atmosphere in order to create an ethereal place from which this great blue heron is flying.
